Select Special Cells respects your privacy and is committed to protecting Google user data in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Data Access

The Select Special Cells Google Sheets™ Add-on operates only within the Google Sheets™ document where it is installed.

The Add-on accesses spreadsheet data only when a user explicitly runs a feature (such as selecting blank cells or duplicate values). This access is required solely to perform the requested spreadsheet operation.

The Add-on does not access Google user data outside the active spreadsheet session.

Data Usage

Any spreadsheet data accessed by the Add-on is used only to perform the functionality requested by the user within their Google Sheet.

The Add-on does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any unrelated purposes.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Select Special Cells complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data accessed through the Add-on is used strictly to provide the functionality requested by the user within Google Sheets. The Add-on does not transfer Google user data to third parties except when necessary to comply with applicable law.

Data Storage

Select Special Cells does not store, transmit, or share spreadsheet data externally.

All spreadsheet data processing occurs temporarily within the Google Apps Script runtime environment and only for the duration required to complete the requested operation.

The Add-on may use Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage patterns across installations (such as feature usage counts). These analytics are collected without storing spreadsheet content or personally identifiable information.

Data Retention and Deletion

The Add-on does not retain Google user data.

Any spreadsheet data accessed by the Add-on is processed temporarily during execution of the requested function and is not stored after the operation completes.

Because no Google user data is stored by the Add-on, there is no persistent data retained or requiring deletion.

If future features introduce storage of user data, this privacy policy will be updated to clearly describe the applicable data retention and deletion practices.

Data Protection

Select Special Cells follows Google’s security practices for applications built on Google Apps Script.

  • Spreadsheet data is accessed only within the secure Google Workspace environment.
  • No spreadsheet content is transmitted to external servers controlled by the developer.
  • Access to Google user data is limited strictly to the permissions required for the Add-on’s functionality.

These measures ensure that sensitive Google user data remains protected within Google’s infrastructure.

Permissions

The Add-on requests only the permissions necessary to enable its spreadsheet functionality.

Permissions are used solely while the Add-on is running and only to perform the user-requested operation.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect improvements, compliance requirements, or changes in functionality. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date above.
